1. Lamborghini was a master mechanic.

Most people consider Ferruccio Lamborghini as the original Tony Stark. He was stationed on an isolated island during WWII for the Italian Royal Air Force as a vehicle maintenance supervisor. Because it was difficult to secure parts, Lamborghini cobbled together scraps to keep his machines running.

2. The first Lamborghinis were tractors.

He used his WWII experience to put together tractors out of spare parts. From there, Lamborghini officially started his business, and people loved his products. Today, Lamborghini Trattori operates under a different company, but are still designed by the same firm that created the Gallardo and the Maserati MC12.

3. Ferrari's mean customer service.

Ferruccio actually owned a Ferrari 250GT back in the days. He wanted a replacement for his clutch, so he went to the Maranello headquarters. After asking Enzo Ferrari, the reply he got was, "You're just a silly tractor manufacturer, how could you possibly know anything about sports cars?" Four months later, he released Lamborghini 350GTV.

4. Current model with scissor doors.

Murcielago is the only current model with scissor doors. These rotate up and forward on a hinge, near the front of the door. The Countach, the Diablo and the Murcielago all have scissor doors, but the Gallardo does not. Both the Countach and the Diablo are no longer being produced.

5. No less than a V8 engine.

Most of the Lamborghini models throughout the history of the company have come with the legendary Lamborghini V12 engine. The newest model, Gallardo, only has V10. No Lamborghini have ever been produced with less than a V8 since production of the Silhouette stopped in 1989.

6. The fastest Lamborghini

The fastest Lamborghini is the Le Mans version of the Murcielago R-GT model. It has a top speed of 370 km/h. Meanwhile, the fastest street model from Lamborghini is the Murcielago LP640, which has an estimated top speed of 340 km/h. Both of the models have a V12 engine with more than 6000 cc.

THE CAR

The Noble M600 sports car was launched at the Goodwood Revival Meeting in late 2009, and was the successor to the well-received M12, and the more aggressive M400.

It was offered as a two seater fixed head coupe, with a price tag of £200,000, and planned production of only 50 units a year.

The body consisted of a lightweight composite fibreglass construction attached to a steel space frame chassis, which produced a curb weight of 1250 kg.

ABS and traction control were offered as optional extras in order to maintain the weight-saving minimalist approach of the standard car.

Although it was popular, the M12 was fitted with a transverse engine which, as the power output of the twin turbo unit increased as a result of ongoing development, this created a number of problems related to insufficient cooling and gearbox reliability caused by ever-increasing stresses.

However, these problems were overcome in 2006 with the launch of the Noble M15 which was fitted with a longitudinally positioned engine, and this format was continued in the M600.

In terms of performance, the car was pitched in that market sector dominated by the likes of the Porsche Carrera, Ferrari Enzo, Bugatti Veyron, Lamborghini Gallardo and McLaren MP4/12C.

The M600 was designed and developed with the aim of ensuring that the driver, and not an array of electronic computer-controlled aids, was in complete control of this impressive sports car.

In 2013, a variant of the original M600 was introduced, and designated the Noble M600 Carbon Edition.

It was offered with what was, in fact, a "bare" carbon fibre body which contained a tinted translucence.

The new finish had taken much painstaking work to perfect, and the result was impressive.

THE ENGINE

The Noble M600 was powered by a Volvo 4.4 litre, mid-engined V8, originally developed by Yamaha, and linked to two Garrett turbochargers, fitted with a variable boost, which allowed the driver to choose, by way of a switch linked to the engine control unit, one of three levels of output:

The Road Mode with a pressure of 0.6 bar producing 450 bhp
The Track Mode with 0.8 bar producing 550 bhp
The Race Mode with 1.0 bar producing 650 bhp
In each case, the redline was 7000 rpm.

Fitted with a Graziano six speed manual gearbox, and a compression ratio of 9.5:1, it produced a top speed of 225 mph, a 0-60 mph time of 3.0 secs, and 0-100 mph in 6.5 secs. Technical data:

Aside from its additional horsepower, the improvised DB9 has got some extra computing power in the form of AMi II touchscreen infotainment system by Aston. This feature has been pulled from the Vanquish and includes a revised menu setup making it effortless to use, as per the car maker.

The British luxury car maker also claims to have incorporated features like hands-free text messaging facility, customisable screen background themes and vehicle status information. In this package, users also get Bluetooth streaming audio.

The exterior has got only a few modifications, however, it can be distinguished by some styling factors kept specific for the model. It has got black anodized brake calipers, 10-spoke alloy wheels, improvised headlights and taillights, rear diffuser and a black front splitter. These small changes actually make this GT look more like a DB9-based Virage.
